This is a full-time position providing year-round employment and excellent benefits.
The City of McCall is seeking a qualified individual to perform a variety of professional and technical duties assisting with planning, directing, organizing, and controlling operations of our Golf Professional division. This employee will assist with promoting, teaching and developing golf within the community, and assist our Head Golf Professional in the management of the Golf Pro Shop. The principal duties of the position are performed in public buildings and outdoor environments in all weather conditions and include exposure to potentially hazardous equipment and chemicals. Minimum Acceptable Experience and Training:
- High school diploma or GED required; and
- Current enrollee in the PGA of America’s PGM Apprentice Program or PGA Golf Management University Program or equivalent; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the described work.
- Must be a member in good standing of the Professional Golfers Association, or its PGM Apprentice Program.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
The starting wage for this position is $23.61 to $24.98, actual wage will be based on individual qualifications. We also include an excellent benefit package and participation in the PERSI retirement program. The position is eligible for annual performance raises and market adjustments as approved by city council each year.
