Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified individual to fill an upcoming vacancy in our Police Department.  The Code Enforcement Officer position is a full-time, 40 hour per week position. An individual in this position performs routine and complex public safety work through the enforcement of City Code inclusive of, but not limited to; animal control, vehicle parking, nuisance and business-related violations.  Must be able to work with the public, communicate effectively orally and in writing, and exercise sound judgment.  High school diploma or equivalent and valid driver’s license required; full background investigation will be conducted, must be at least 21 years old to apply.  Starting wage is $20.24 to $21.42 per hour;  actual salary will be determined at time of a conditional offer and will be based on applicant’s education, qualifications, and prior and/or related experience.
