Job Description:

The City of McCall is seeking a qualified individual to fill a seasonal GIS Technician position. Selected individual will perform a variety of projects to further the development of the GIS including but not limited to; build and maintain greater McCall area Parcel Fabric, build and Maintain Spatial Networks for Public Works (Water, Sewer, and Storm), operate a GPS unit and download / integrate data into the GIS. Conduct site visits, collect field data, verify site data for editing.  Coordinate with other City departments on projects. GPS field data collection skills required.

Acceptable Experience and Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems or closely related field required; and,
  • Two (2) years previous field mapping work and knowledge of the community is preferred; OR,
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Special Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license.

Salary and Benefits: Wage range begins at $19.42 to $20.56 per hour, actual salary will be determined at time of a conditional offer and will be based on applicant’s education, qualifications, and prior and/or related experience in a GIS or related field.
