Phil Kushlan Appointed as Interim City Manager for McCall

McCall, ID - The City of McCall is pleased to announce the appointment of Phil Kushlan as Interim City Manager, effective March 19, 2024. Phil brings a wealth of experience in municipal management, having previously served as Executive Director of the Capital City Development Corporation in Boise and as City Manager in Bellevue, Washington, and Cottage Grove, Oregon.

In his role as Interim City Manager, Phil will oversee the day-to-day operations of the city and provide leadership during the transition period until a new city manager is in place. His extensive background in urban renewal, strategic planning, project management, and municipal finance makes him well-equipped to address the unique challenges and opportunities facing McCall. "I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as Interim City Manager for McCall," said Phil Kushlan.

"I look forward to working closely with the city council, staff, and community members to continue the positive momentum and ensure a smooth transition for the incoming city manager." During his tenure as Interim Executive Director for the Twin Falls Urban Renewal Agency, Phil led initiatives such as the Main Avenue redevelopment project and the downtown housing initiative. His firm's expertise in urban renewal and community development will be invaluable in guiding McCall through its current growth and development goals.

The City is currently accepting applications for the regular City Manager with intent to begin interviews in May of 2024.
