Sunset, Placid, Cammy, Chula Water Main Improvements

UPDATE 4/23/2024: Construction work on Placid continues throughout April to install new water main and water services to adjoining residents.  Connection of the new main to the existing main in Stibnite will result in periodic road closures on Stibnite at Placid (just west of Thula) that should conclude during the week of 4/22-4/26. Detours will be present down Thula and Mission Street and the closure is expected to last most of the day and be re-opened by 4/23/24. This notice is subject to change.

DETAILS AND SCOPE OF PROJECT

Construction Budget:      ~$800,000

Project Funding:               McCall Water Department

Project Overview:  This project will replace existing 2” and 4” galvanized and cast iron water mains with new, 8” PVC piping.  New water services will be installed to adjacent water customers.  New fire hydrants will also be installed within the project area.  Improved water flow to customers and enhanced fire protection capacity will be achieved.

  • Cammy - completion of water infrastructure and road restoration:  Scheduled completion 10/13/2023
  • Sunset - completion of water infrastructure and road restoration:   Scheduled completion 10/27/2023          
  • Placid - completion of water infrastructure and road restoration:   IN PROGRESS Spring 2024
    • Placid is currently closed to through traffic. Local traffic only allowed with limited accessibility to private residences is being accommodated by the Contractor. This is expected to last until memorial day.
