McCall Public Library Expansion
The Library Expansion Project is officially under construction.

On Wednesday, August 17, the first milestone in new library construction was celebrated on the City Campus in front of the Library with a ceremonial event.
The project to build a new, state-of-the-art library to serve the community for the next 50 years and beyond, expected to take two years, began with a ceremonial demolition of the old fire station. The building is being removed to make room for the new structure that will front the existing library. After demolition is complete, a team will build the new library in front of the existing library and parking will be added on the east side. The new build will take 1½ years. Then, the existing library will be renovated. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by August 2024.
Thanks to our City of McCall Voters and generous donors the library is expanding.

UPDATEWinter 2023 The demolition and removal of the City's "Annex" building was completed in the Fall, following that the foundation preparation for the new addition occurred this Fall. With the early onset of Winter weather, the project was required to shut down on 12/13/22. The re-mobilization and commencement of the construction activities in 2023 is currently planned for late March, pending favorable weather. The latest project schedule from the City's contractor CM Company Shows: - Move in date for the new addition: May 2024 - Move in date for the renovated existing library: November 2024 ROAD & FACILITY ADVISORIES New Entrance - NOW OPEN - SIGNS POSTS Open M-F 10-6, Saturdays 10-2. |
