We’re part of the solution!

We are saying thank you and goodbye to the now-broken-and-unrepairable laminator. We feel good about our decision to decrease our carbon footprint and offer cardstock library cards that are not heat-sealed in plastic.  Thanks for moving forward in this direction with your library!  With 5,871 McCall Library members, this makes a small but important impact.

Friends of the Library, Café 634 and our architects teamed up to deliver 2 Design Jams in the World Café format this September.  More than 80 people from all parts of our community came to weigh in on new library expansion plans. Your notes and feedback have been submitted, and the entire project has been injected with new life, thanks to your thoughtful and intelligent ideas! Stay tuned for more exciting library expansion news.

Our library has a lovely collection of books for all ages in Spanish. Some are bilingual English/Spanish to help you learn either language. Read along with Harry Potter, Dr. Seuss, or Sandra Cisneros!

We also invite you to check out our FREE online language learning tool, Pronunciator
