Downtown Public Art Survey

Three artists were chosen to create artwork to be integrated into the upcoming reconstruction of 2nd street at the heart of the city's downtown core. The public art project budget is $60,000, funded by the City of McCall and McCall Local Option Tax funds.

The Public Art Committee asked that the artwork:

  • Contribute to 2nd Street as the city’s center and an inviting gathering place
  • Support McCall as a walk-able and bike-able community
  • Create excitement and interest for the community
  • Be durable, low maintenance, and appropriate for McCall’s climate

During the week of January 29 through February 10th, sample size art concepts and full project proposals will be displayed at Barn Owl Books located at 616 N. 3rd Street, Suite 110, McCall. If you can't stop by and see them, take a moment to enjoy the pictures below.  Online survey closes February 10th, 2019. There will also be a special design and desserts event at Barn Owl on February 7th which will display both the Lardo Bridge and the Downtown public art project samples. Refreshments will be served from 5pm to 7pm.
