The Communications Manager serves residents and media members by keeping them apprised of the latest news, events, and announcements from the City of McCall. The office coordinates content across many different channels, both digital and print. The staff reviews all public promotional materials, social media, and web presence for consistency and accuracy.
The Communication office also facilitates public participation efforts throughout the year, helping to empower residents to have a stake in their local government through civic engagement. The office works closely with the City Council and City Manager on strategic communications efforts each year and assists with internal city communications as needed.
The office serves as a media liaison by writing press releases, hosting press, responding to questions, and coordinating interviews. The Communications Manager is an assistant to the City Manager and the liaison between the media and all city departments.
The Communications department hosts monthly focus groups on many topics and is available to discuss any project or concern for guidance on how to connect or learn more.
