Accounting Specialist position available

The City of McCall seeks an individual with excellent customer service skills to fill our recently vacated, full-time position of Accounting Specialist. The primary function of an employee in this position is to process invoices, prepare monthly payments, perform general accounting support duties and records maintenance, maintain accurate account records for water customers, utility account set-up, closure and problem solving, prepare monthly utility bills and delinquency notices, process utility payments, and generate general ledger entries.  High School diploma or equivalent required, some college or advanced course work in accounting or business related field preferred; Two (2) years of experience as a full charge bookkeeper or accounts payable clerk, with one (1) year of experience cash receipting, and/or accounts receivable, in a municipal government office environment preferred; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities required to perform the work; valid driver’s license required.  Starting salary $16.92-$17.92 per hour/DOE.  Benefits include medical, dental, vision, Public Employees Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI), as well as vacation and sick leave.  Applications and job description available at City Hall or, applications may be submitted via email to:, faxed to 208-634-4493 or delivered to:
