City Staff Engineer

The City of McCall, an Equal Opportunity Employer, seeks a qualified, talented individual to fill the position of Staff Engineer under the general supervision of the Public Works Director. The selected individual will manage all phases of City infrastructure engineering including water, sewer, streets, traffic signals, public engineering projects and signs. This individual will be responsible for capital improvement project engineering; transportation planning and engineering; water and sewer systems planning and engineering; and right-of-ways and utility planning and engineering; participates in community education as well as coordinates and manages engineering tasks with contracted engineers.

The ideal candidate will have Professional Engineer license and a background or applicable experience in municipality type planning including water treatment plant and sewer district operations and must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of all aspects of development review, and engineering. Must be able to communicate clearly through excellent written and oral communications in a wide variety of disciplines and maintain a consistent display of professionalism in all aspects. This is a salaried position with a starting pay range of at $60,486 to $65,686 plus an excellent benefits package. Detailed position description is available here. Police Employment Eligibility Requirements

The City of McCall is a rapidly growing four season resort community located in the central mountains of Idaho, approximately 100 miles north of Boise. Nationally recognized for its beautiful location and year-round recreational opportunities, McCall is making its mark as a world class destination. In addition to a multitude of recreational activities, McCall also has superior parks, schools, health services, and cultural activities.

The City seeks 4 qualified individuals to fill the position of Police Officer. The selected individuals will read, interpret, and enforce state, city and county laws. Must be willing/able to work with the public, have the ability to remain calm, exercise good judgment, and follow instructions, have excellent, reading, writing and listening skills, and willing to work a variable schedule including nights, weekends and holidays. Candidates must be able to obtain POST certification and be able to pass a police background check, psychological exam, oral interview, and polygraph test. Starting salary is $39,561 to $48,686. Compensation is dependent on experience and includes exceptional benefits package.
